If you’ve ever attended a chautauqua, then you know what it’s like to ask a question of the character and get your answer, in character. (Hint: Don’t ask them, “When did you die?”)  In January, Diane went to Mendocino County, California, where Clarina Nichols is buried and where Nichols’s granddaughter, Grace Hudson, was a painter of regional renown. Diane performed and spoke at the Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah, and to promote the event she appeared as Mrs. Nichols on “Radio Curious,” a program hosted by Barry Vogel on Mendocino Public Radio.
