Thanks to support from the Kansas Humanities Council, Diane performed as Clarina Nichols twice in five days — at the Coffey County Library branch in Lebo and at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, as it celebrated its 150th year in Kansas City. That morning we were hit by the mother of all rain-soakers, which meant a shortage of sunlight pouring into St. Paul's majestic windows. But the show always goes on!
