This was the first ever citywide book festival held in Kansas City, and Quindaro Press was well represented. Diane and Aaron reprised their “Recovering Clarina Nichols” co-presentation, telling the story of Diane’s journey to writing the biography and how we came to the decision to found Quindaro Press instead of signing with a publisher. Diane was also interviewed by C-SPAN2’s Book TV, which had its bus on site covering the event. And at a luncheon held by The Writer’s Place in connection with the Literary Festival, Diane received her certificate as a finalist for nonfiction in the William Rockhill Nelson Awards.
