We received an excited call from our distributor, who was on the floor of BookExpo America in New York City as ForeWord Magazine, a leading industry publication, was announcing the winners and runners-up in its annual Book of the Year Awards. Despite a formidable field in which it was one of 14 finalists in its category, Revolutionary Heart won the gold medal in Biography, beating out numerous titles from larger publishers (well. they’re all larger!) including university presses and Kansas City’s own Andrews & McMeel Publishing. Our second printing will bear the gold foil seal of this prestigious award.
